OZ BLOBS

OZ BLOBS is an initiative targeted to primary school aged students. It is a way of introducing them to computers, simple 3D software, elements of design and also simple manufacturing. Based around a software program called COSMIC BLOBS, the program allows students to build and model up figures, using a digital play-dough like substance - a material and process many are familiar using in a real and physical sense when creating figures in play-dough.

The final step in the process makes the 3D digital world come to life when their digital model data is sent to the BLOB FACTORY where it is rapid prototyped. Blobs are returned and the student can then hold their 3D creation in their hands!
